Classic Banana Bread with Brown Sugar

This classic banana bread is soft, moist, and filled with warm banana flavor. Brown sugar adds a rich sweetness, while a touch of vanilla makes it especially comforting. Enjoy a slice for breakfast, an afternoon snack, or alongside a fresh cup of coffee.

Ingredients

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• ½ cup butter, softened
• ½ cup brown sugar
• 2 large eggs, beaten
• 2 cups mashed ripe bananas
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease or line a standard loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Mix in the beaten eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture just until combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with only a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes before removing it. Let it cool slightly before slicing.
